it's Frankie Month!!!

May is Frankie Month and there are a host of ways it is being celebrated, including World Lindy Hop Day on Tuesday the 26th May - the date of Frankie's birthday - but as not everyone can get to Rome for this year's shindig the Frankie Manning Foundation has come up with a couple of ways you can get involved in your own community to celebrate Frankie's legacy and hopefully bring the swing to the unswung!

To start with, throughout the month we are encouraging people to recreate famous Frankie photos and share them on social media with the hashtag #IAmFrankieManning. Choose your favourite Frankie photo, strike his pose, snap and share and they will appear on the #IAmFrankieManning tagboard, or use them as your profile photo for the month of May.


Next up, on Frankie's birthday, take your love of Lindy to work with you and Suit up Swing Style!

Don your favourite swing threads that best capture the spirit of the Savoy Ballroom in its 1920-50s pomp, have your photo taken at work, on the street, public transport, wherever you go, share these with the hashtag #TheLindyLook and hopefully you'll trigger some conversations and spread the love of Lindy!

All photos will appear on #TheLindyLook tagboard and if you can't wait until the 26th or fancy an extra challenge, why not dress the part for the entire month of May!
